Wildcard Game Three 2014,  AFC – San Diego Chargers (9-7) 6th Seed, Vs. Cincinnati Bengals (11-5) 3rd Seed.

Where: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati OH.

When: Sunay, January 5, 2014 – 1:05p ET on CBS

Stats match up:

The Chargers had to have plenty of help to grab the last AFC Playoffs Spot, but keep in mind that this is a team with a brand new coaching staff. It took a bit for them to jell, but they are serging and will be playing with a chip on their shoulder.

The Bengals Defense is well rounded and one of the best in the league. Look for this to be a good test for Philip Rivers and HC McCoy’s Offense. Will this be the first game Cincinatti loses at home this year? I doubt it!

I believe this game hinges on Andy Dalton, who has thrown 20 Interceptions to his 33 TD’s. Will the acurate version show up for the game? Rivers is having one of his best seasons, and can be dangerous! After all, the Chargers did defeat the Broncos in Denver this year.

Average Points/Game  – Bengals 26.9 (#6) – Chargers 24.7 (#12)

AVG. Yards/Game:

Total: Chargers 393.3 – Bengals 368.2

Passing: Chargers 270.5 – Bengals 258.5

Rushing: Chargers 122.8 – Bengals 109.7

Average Yards Allowed/Play – Bengals 4.7 (#2) – Chargers 6.1 (Tied 29th)

AVG. Yards Allowed/Game:

Passing: Bengals 209.0 (#5) – Chargers 258.7 (#29)

Rushing: Bengals 96.5 (#5) – Chargers 107.8 (#12)

The Bengas Defense is #6 in the league at Points allowed and thier Offense is #6 in points scored! A very well rounded team and I have to go with the Bengals to win at home today.
